1. I was introduced to my agent through a colleague at work when I asked for a recommendation regarding an insurance agent who could provide a reasonable rate for auto insurance. After meeting in person with my agent, I was very impressed, and decided during that first meeting that I would select him to handle my automobile insurance. Of chief concern, secondary only to a reasonable rate, was communication. In the past, I’ve had insurance agents who are never available even for a brief communication, but Brian has always been prompt in returning any calls or responding to any emailed questions. This to me is the critical distinction, and the one that makes selecting a personal agent with a real address and phone number vastly superior to the online options that have recently become so popular. Although my auto insurance is very slightly more expensive through State Farm than it could be through an alternative, the personal touch and management of options is certainly worth the extra expense.

2. My insurance agent, Brian Goetz, has fulfilled my needs when it comes to purchasing automobile insurance. I’ve worked with other insurance agents in the past, and they typically want to make a strong sell and bundle additional insurance products with any new policy. My interaction with my insurance agent had none of this sort of selling; I called him and explained what sort of insurance I wanted, and he gave me my policy options without trying to include a life insurance or renters policy.

   As for the insurance purchasing itself, the process went smoothly. I was able to provide all of the pertinent information via an email, and the policy was set up and ready to purchase the same day. By purchasing through an agent, I was also able to find discounts I wasn’t aware I was eligible for, which provided a significantly better price than I would have received if I had signed up for a similar policy online.

   All in all, I am satisfied with my insurance purchasing experience; if someone asked my opinion I would recommend Brian as an insurance agent.
