1. Your why did you select” question didn’t have an “other” option. My account was transferred to him after a longtime agent retired, so I didn’t have a personal relationship with this agent. But he’s been fine to work with. Two or three years ago, high winds damaged the roof over my front porch. I took photos of the damage and contacted the agent, who sent out an adjuster who determined that I needed an entirely new roof. The agent referred me to a couple of different roofers. I ended up picking a different roofer — not one of the ones who was referred by the agent — and worried about that, but there was no problem. I received two checks from the agent: one initially, and a second to cover further costs. There was no problem at all.

2. I initially looked for a quote online. After getting a quote I received an email from Mr. Martinez with a quote that was slightly lower than what was originally given to me. He then called and we set up and appointment. Throughout the entire process the entire office was extremely polite, and very helpful. They explained clearly each part of the insurance document and our different billing options. We had quite a few questions as we were switching from GEICO and he was able to answer all of our questions with quick and precise answers. We did not feel pressure to buy from him or to switch to Statefarm, they just explained the benefits including other services they offered and after weighing all the options available we switched. We liked that they offered other services including banking services which may come in very useful in the future.
