I had been using Progressive, mainly because I found it easier to take my time online and not have to deal with an Insurance Salesman”. I received a mailer over a year ago from Gene, and instead of tossing it like I normally would I opened it. It may sound silly, but there was a photo of him in the mailer and he looked like a really friendly guy. I checked online, and there were nothing but glowing reviews about his service. His office is maybe 20 minutes away from where I live, but I decided to make an appointment and see what he could do for me.
The office staff was very friendly, and he was actually available before the scheduled time. We went over my needs (2 cars, 1 truck, 1 house) and he looked into my existing coverage. All in all the appointment took about an hour, and I was really impressed with his knowledge and great attitude. He gave me coverage options that were comparable to what I had, as well as some suggestions for Homeowners insurance which were very useful. I had pretty much made up my mind to change my insurance as I was really impressed with Gene and the cost was comparable, but I decided to sleep on it. No pressure, no selling really, just solid information. I couple of days later I made another appointment to get things changed over, and I couldn’t be happier. His office took care of everything, even canceling my old insurance.
I really have no experience with claims, as I’ve never needed to file one, but I’m confident that he’d do everything necessary to make the experience as painless as possible. Billing couldn’t be easier as the Homeowners is part of the mortgage payment, and the cars are on autopay. He even CALLED ME on my birthday!”
