We have had this agent for over 20 years and Allstate did pay a homeowner’s claim of over $30,000 when a tree fell through our home in the 90’s. We kept them through that and have filed a couple of additional homeowner claims throughout the years due to weather. The last claim was difficult, because it was related to a leak due to hail damage. They wouldn’t pay to have the roof replaced, even though 2 contractors stated it needed to be replaced. They only paid for a portion of the shingles to be replaced and now it looks discolored. We did almost drop Allstate after that incident, but decided to keep them after the receptionist told us that Melanie would be contacting us to discuss our displeasure with Allstate. She never did follow up with us, so we do not feel like we are receiving personal attention with this agent.
