1. My car insurance includes roadside service. After a recent car accident, I needed to use it for the first time for towing services. The tow cost $400. I had to pay upfront. Thank goodness I had a credit card. I was told I would be reimbursed. We submitted the invoice and I spoke to Eric Zyber’s assistant several times. Over a month passed and I called to check on the reimbursement. I was told that they had reimbursed the towing company, so they had been paid twice. I asked for Eric Zyber to call me. When he called, he could not have sounded more bored and uninterested. He said The towing company cashed the check. There is nothing we can do. I said “What do you mean there is nothing you can do? Isn’t that what we pay you for?” He hung up on me. I could do his job far better. I would sound awake and alert when calling people. I would apologize to people for inconveniences caused by company errors. I would offer to assist and if I could not I would advise my customers in a friendly and helpful way. I would even call back a few days later and check to see if everything worked out. I felt Eric Zyber had no professionalism and he lacked finesse. He could have been helpful and reassuring and instead, he was bored, rude and unhelpful. I eventually took care of it myself and received only a partial reimbursement for the tow services. We are looking into other options for our insurance coverage.
