Everything goes by the book, and does so rather smoothly. Prices are fair and the options to take on bundle deals and savings are great. Everyone in the local office is knowledgeable and polite, courteous, and respectful. We have had to file one claim in the past — actually somewhat voluntarily — to have siding replaced on our house. They worked well with us as well as worked well with our contractor to make sure the money was disbursed and used appropriately. We were very worried that the contractor may take our money and run, but Allstate did an excellent job of playing the middle man and maintaining the integrity of our wellbeing above all else. My only qualm was that after the claim our rates went up rather exponentially. However, they were able to tweak our plan a little bit and keep our payment roughly the same, only with a slightly higher homeowners’ deductible — which shouldn’t be a problem in the few years it will take to drop again.
