I tried to call my (former) insurance agent located about 100 miles away and never head back from him. I pass by Brock’s office about 20 times a week and thought I’d give him a call for comparison.
I was frustrated that my (former) insurance company had a $200 deductible on rain/hail when I thought I was paying for 1,000 deductible. I never got a call back to question. Brock took care of that.
Also, I found out that one of my liabilty limits was the bare minimum required by the state, and it didn’t cost that much to have it moved up. Overall, very impressed with Brock and his staff.
The agent was very relaxed during the appointment. I never felt pressured or coerced into buying any services/coverage that I didn’t want. When I asked a question the responses seemed genuine, at times the agent even asked other agents just to make sure the answers were accurate. Also, as I was selecting coverage options the agent always made it a point to show me the computer screen, which provided me a sense of transparency which I really appreciated. When I showed up for the appointment I made it clear that it was only for a quote and not for a purchase or sale. So knowing that the agent was willing to behave and act in a professional manner, answering questions, and with no pressure just for a quote provided, me with the feeling that this could be a company I could use.
