I have nothing but good things to say about Tom and his office. Actually, his office manager Ronda Wolfe is the heart and soul of the office, who I deal with on the phone or email and I have the highest regards for her customer service abilities.
When we first moved to Kansas City 18 years ago (from St. Louis) this office was recommended by a friend in town and I was glad to get the referral. While initially I had Car and Homeowner’s insurance with Tom’s office, my job eventually moved me to Boston 3 years ago which was out of the region which his office could support so I had to drop State Farm and get Liberty Mutual (with a discount through my University of Illinois Alumni Association). We kept our home and now rent it and Tom’s office still provides the insurance that covers that house and gave terrific support on our move.
I use this insurance agent because my dad uses this agent. I’ve used this agent for pretty much everything since i got my first car when I was 16. I think I’ve only file 2 or 3 claims in the past 20 years. All were for my car. I’ve never filed a claim on renter’s, homeowners, or life policies. I really don’t talk to my agent. Maybe every 3 or 4 years I go in for a policy review. About a year ago I went in for a review. I was trying to save money, and I was hoping I could make some policy changes. I didn’t end up making any changes. I had some auto and home quotes from other carriers, but they did not save me any money. If the auto premium was less, the homeowner’s was more or vice versa. It would be nice to have an agent who is closer to my house.
