History

Established in 2006.

We’ve been in the insurance industry since 2002 and formed SPF Insurance in 2006 in order to offer our clients the best insurance options available.

Initially, the company grew only through referrals from our clients.

In 2011 we created the SPFinsurance.com website. This has become our biggest source of new clients and is one of the main reasons we are so knowledgeable in the insurance industry.

We investigate, analyze, and then recommend specific strategies to our website readers. Making it the go-to source for information on health insurance in California.

Questions our clients ask become the basis for new information we publish.

As insurance brokers, we work for our clients, not the insurance companies.

Meet the Business Owner

Tim Thompson

I was diagnosed as a Type I Diabetic when I was 15 years old. Many years later when I left the corporate world to start my own business, I knew that my diabetes would make it hard for me to get insurance.

The information I needed was scattered and hard to find, so I had to learn about the Insurance Maze.

Today, being a financial planner, I am held to a fiduciary standard when I work with clients. Over the years I noticed that many of my planning clients had the wrong kind of health insurance. So I took what I learned about the insurance industry when I started my planning business and began teaching clients how insurance works and how to make the right choices to get the protection they needed at the right prices.

SPF Insurance was the result of that work.
