We initially moved into a house in the area near the agent. Our family used him as an agent and recommended John Craig. We got our initial quote and switched since it was far less than we were paying with Allstate. The first 2 or 3 years were good, but the rates kept creeping up until they had doubled without any claims whatsoever. Furthermore, they switched our homeowner policy from a fixed deductible to a percentage amount without consulting us. We went with another company and got better coverage (both auto and home) for about half the price. When we contacted the office to ask if there was any recourse to decrease our rates they simply said they could not adjust anything, and the rates we were paying were fair. When we canceled they told us that we could not get the insurance again. Overall strange company policies and tactics. Poor business practices.
