I went to this agent because I’ve had State Farm Insurance for many years and this agent is the only State Farm agent in my small town. I’ve never actually met the agent, just his assistants, who are all women and pleasant to work with. State Farm had an overall premium increase recently and it was a little upsetting to me, as I’ve been a customer for so long and I couldn’t understand why they were raising their fees. Also, I have no tickets or accidents that are my fault. But it seems they were raising everyone’s premiums, not just mine. I called the agent’s office and asked about this and talked to one of the assistant who explained things to me relatively well. I went into the office and we worked at lowering my coverage and limits so that my overall premium would be lower, since I’m on a fixed income and didn’t want to pay the higher premium. This worked out well enough, although I often wonder if the assistants, who seem very new, really know as much as the agent himself, who I never have any interaction with personally.
